Replacement Tank 140L Diesel LRA Mazda BT-50 B32 Ford Ranger PX

The LRA FRDCPXR replacement tank is designed for 2011–2022 Ford Ranger PX and 2011–2020 Mazda BT-50 models. It replaces the original tank, increasing the fuel capacity to 140 litres. The standard filler point is retained, as are the original exhaust and spare wheel location. This configuration allows for increased vehicle autonomy without altering its main functionalities. It is suitable for long-distance use, professional travel in isolated areas, and off-road practices. The tank is also compatible with 2WD High-Rider models. It is not compatible with the Mazda BT-50 MY21. Since 1989, Long Range Automotive has been designing and manufacturing its tanks in Australia. Each model is developed for a specific vehicle application. The objective is to optimize the available volume while respecting the mechanical constraints of the chassis, filling, exhaust, and transmission. LRA tanks are made from 2 mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffling to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before commercialization, they undergo pressure tests, several quality controls, and trials on heavily degraded tracks. These validations verify their resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, and impacts associated with off-road use. Installation is estimated at approximately 3 hours. If a tray is installed in place of the original bed, the filling system may require adaptation.
